We recycle carpet and carpet padding. We currently pay .03/lb for dry, used carpet padding. This price is subject to change without notice, and is based on market value fluctuations.
FREE dumping is available for used, recyclable carpet. Each piece of incoming carpet is tested with a special fiber testing unit, which is the only way to quickly determine whether or not the fiber is recyclable. Dump fees for any non-recycling material/trash is charged at ~$4/50 yards.
Flooring companies may pay monthly fees for all installers to recycle/dump at Planet locations. They may also choose to recycle onsite by renting a Planet roll-off container, and then, calling for dump service as needed.
Large commercial carpet/pad disposal/recycle jobs, may also schedule onsite roll-off containers at the job site. If recyclable, only a minimal haul fee is charged, and material is processed for recycling at Planet’s yard. An official ‘Certificate of Recycling’ document is available upon completion. Call for details and special pricing on these services.
